Jean K. Traverso, Indianapolis, was born on October 7, 1922, in St. Marys, Ohio, to William and Hazel Fisher, who are now deceased.

She graduated from Memorial High School in 1940. She then attended Lima, Ohio Business School and the Ohio State University. At Ohio State she met her future husband, John. They were married for 66 years until his death in July, 2013.

They had two sons: John T. and Joseph M. Joseph is now deceased.

Jean was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Oasis for over 20 years.

She is survived by her son, John; granddaughter, Miranda (Tony) Velez, and her three great-grandsons; Braylen, Brently, and Brodie.

Memorial contributions may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, 6450 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46220.

Visitation will be held from 1:30pm to 2:30pm Thursday March 28th at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Good Shepherd Chapel), 9700 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis. Funeral services will begin there at 2:30pm. Online condolences may be shared at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
