Jean P. Semick

Jean P.Semick, 92, of Indianapolis passed away June 5, 2016 at the Springs ofMooresville. Jean was born August 1,1923 in Rush, Kentucky the daughter of Curtis and Majel (Riffe) Posey. She retired from the Finance Center at Ft.Benjamin Harrison in 1992 after several years with the Federal Government,including service during WW II as an Executive Secretary and decoder inWashington, DC, and at Naval Avionics. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Semick in 1973 anda brother Warren Posey.

She issurvived by her children; Mark Semick (Margie) of Mesa, AZ and Karen Surface(Ed) of Martinsville, IN; 3 grandchildren, Garrett Surface of Indianapolis,Elise Surface Hunt (Jason) of Paragon, IN and Kim Elliott of Queen Creek, AZ; and1 great-grandson, Devin Flowers.

Privategraveside services will be held at Washington Park East Cemetery. Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park Eastentrusted with arrangements.
