Jean P. Mulvihill

Jean P. Mulvihill, 65, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. She was born on February 2, 1951 in Evergreen Park, IL to the late Thomas and Joan (Lionhood) Powers. Jean worked for over 25 years with the Avon Community School Corporation. She was very involved in her daughters’ various activities; serving as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and assisting with swim meets. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bill Mulvihill; daughters, Patty (Todd Easton) Mulvihill, Amy Forster and Carrie (Steve) Fry; grandchildren, Hanna and Jonas Forster. Jean is also survived by her brothers, Jack and Jim Powers; and sisters, Mary Ann Proney and Jane Blankenship; 13 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2015 from 2-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday at 11am in St. Christopher Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hickory Elementary School in Avon, IN to support the school’s library she loved so much.
