Jean E. Montgomery

 Jean E. Montgomery of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 89 years old. She was born on April 4, 1935, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Theodore and Hazel (Allen) Sawyer. She was a proud graduate of Decatur Central High School Class of 1954. Jean worked for many years at United Parcel Service in the Loss/Prevention Department prior to retiring. She also sold Avon for 15 years and achieved their President’s Club Award. She was a member of the Teamsters Union and was also a member of the Speedway Moose Lodge where she enjoyed playing bingo and dancing with her husband. Jean enjoyed many hours on the water boating with her friends and family. Jean was survived by her daughter, Rhonda Northrop and her husband, Mike Osterling, her grandchildren, Bryan Northrop, Mike Darling, Brad Montgomery, her sister, Donna (David) Tinsley-Diddock, and her nephews, Brandon, Jason and Curtis Diddock. She was preceded in death by beloved husband, Ronald L. Montgomery, and her stepdaughter, Deborah Montgomery. Visitation for Jean will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, 12:00pm- 2:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with the Funeral Service immediately following at 2:00pm. She will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton, Indiana. Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
