Jean D. Marsee

Jean D. Marsee of Indianapolis, Indiana formerly of Elizabethtown, Kentucky passed away January 21, 2026, at 93 years of age. She was born June 27, 1932, in Bowling Green, Kentucky to the late George B. and Catherine C. (Spugnardi) Donnelly. Jean worked for many years as a Secretary for an Insurance Company. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Jean enjoyed participating in the Silver Sneakers program at the YMCA, was a Mall Walker, where she met numerous people and forged many friendships, loved most sports, and was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcat’s Basketball, Indiana Pacers , Indianapolis Colts, was an exceptional cook with the family enjoying many dishes but especially her spaghetti and meatballs and pies when she would bake them. She had a soft spot in her heart for both cats and dogs, and she could spend hours gazing at pictures online of her great grandson. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

Jean is survived by her children, Sharon Marsee, Dale (Debra) Marsee, Brenda (Rob) Lambert, her grandchildren, Andrew (Ana) Marsee, Angie (Mark) Pflieger, Rachael Lambert, Nicholas Lambert, her great grandson, Romeo Marsee, and her brother, Ed (Debbie) Donnelly. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Marsee and her siblings.

The family would like to invite you to a Memorial Gathering to celebrate Jean’s life on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township 5463 Kentucky Ave Indianapolis, IN 46221. Additional visitation will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 9:00am-11:00am at Brown Funeral Home 306 College Street Elizabethtown, Kentucky 42701 with a Memorial Service there at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest at St. James Cemetery in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Memorial gifts may be directed to the American Cancer Society in memory of Jean. Flanner Buchanan is honored to assist the family with the cremation arrangements for Jean.
