Jean Emberton Arterburn

Jean Emberton Arterburn, 89, of Indianapolis, IN, was born March 26, 1927 and passed away September 9, 2016. She was born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to Hascal and Ova Turner Emberton. Jean moved to Indianapolis and went to work at Western Electric. While she worked there, she met Fred Arterburn and they were married in 1954. She worked as a Cosmetologist for over 40 years, retiring in 2010 at the age of 83. She was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred and six brothers and sisters. Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Tony (Gloria) Arterburn, brother, Wendell (Lovel) Emberton, granddaughters, Amanda, Janet and Katie and great-granddaughter, Jordyn. Friends are invited to visit from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.
