In Loving Memory of Jaxson Schooley April 17, 2006 – August 19, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jaxson Schooley, a beloved son, brother, cousin, friend, and a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. He left this world far too soon on August 19, 2023, at the age of 17.

Jaxson was a remarkable young man whose presence radiated warmth, kindness, and a zest for life. He approached each day with boundless enthusiasm, a quick smile, humor, and an unwavering sense of curiosity that touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

Jaxson was a Junior at Sheridan High School, where he was interested in learning the trade of welding.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Jaxson had a passion for dirt bikes, fishing, and all things trucks. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His energy and genuine joy were infectious to all those around him.

His memory will forever be cherished by his loving parents, Jeffrey (Kaycee) Schooley, Brittney (Richie) Best and his adoring siblings, Jakob, Jimmy, and Nellie, and grandparents Jeff and Cindy Schooley, Debbie Nevins, Barry and Ann Nevins, Wayne and Patricia Bender, and Steve and Linda Hinshaw, and a host of extended family members and friends who were touched by his radiant spirit. He will also be fondly remembered by his classmates and teachers at Sheridan and Westfield Schools as a bright star whose light will continue to shine in their hearts.

A visitation to celebrate the life of Jaxson will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and Friday, August 25, 2023 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Hamilton Memorial Park, Westfield, Indiana. With services to immediately follow. Graveside ceremony will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, Indiana 46250

As we mourn the loss of this incredible young soul, let us also remember the joy he brought into our lives and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. May his legacy serve as a reminder to live life fully, always say I love you and have the same enthusiasm, kindness, and zest that he so effortlessly embodied.

Rest in peace, dear Jaxson. You will forever remain in our hearts.
