Jared Steven Guhl, 31, of Largo, Florida, passed away on March 2, 2026.
Jared was born on May 22, 1994, to Steven Guhl and Laura (Guhl) Wilson. He graduated from Heritage Christian School in 2012 and went on to attend Grace College in Warsaw, Indiana. Jared was known for his remarkable intelligence from a young age, scoring extremely high on scholastic exams. He had a successful career in automotive sales, where his love for cars, natural charisma, strong work ethic, and ability to connect with people allowed him to thrive.
Those who knew Jared will remember his infectious sense of humor, quick wit, and his gift for making anyone laugh. He loved working out, cooking and eating healthy meals, and his body was evident of that. He had a generous spirit and a deeply loyal heart, always willing to give the shirt off his back to help family or friends in need. Jared also carried a sincere Christian heart and his faith that shaped the way he cared for others. He had a special love for animals, especially cats and his own cats, which were his world. He never hesitated to show compassion to any animal that crossed his path.
Above all, Jared cherished his family. His presence, laughter, intelligence, and big heart will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jared is survived by his father, Steven (Lyubov) Guhl, his mother, Laura (Guhl) Wilson; his brothers, Jason (Kristin) Guhl, and Jonathan Guhl; his sister, Elizabeth (Christian) Smith.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Kenneth Wilson; his grandparents, Henry and Elizabeth McLimore; Mark and Donna Guhl; step grandparents, Leo and Bernice Wilson; his brother, Zachariah Guhl; his uncle, Douglas Guhl; his great aunt, Anna Ruth Thompson; his cousin, David Thompson; his cousin, Kurtis Guhl; his baby cousin, Christian McLimore.
A funeral service to celebrate Jared’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Flanner Buchanan - Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Jared’s memory to consider making a donation to causes that were meaningful to him. Contributions may be made to Loving Hands Ministries and/or Grafelman Farms Rescue, in honor of Jared’s deep love for cats and his compassion for animals in need.
Jared will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through the love of his family and the countless lives he touched with his humor, kindness, love, compassion, and generous heart.
