Janice Marie Lingenfelter

Janice M. Lingenfelter 70, of Indianapolis, passed away February 8, 2013. She was born August 26, 1942 to Carl and Jeanne Oberlies, Jr. who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lingenfelter. She graduated in 1960 from Scecina High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Janice was retired from Western Electric with over 20 years of service. She was a volunteer at St. Lawrence Catholic Church and was President of the Goldenaires. Survivors include her children, Linda Reed, Diana(Charles) Hurley, Robert(Donna) Lingenfelter, Arthur Lingenfelter, and Thomas Lingenfelter; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter; three sisters, JoAnn (Rod) Leisure, Jane(Martin) Day, and Joyce Oberlies; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 6950 E. 46th St., Indianapolis, IN. Burial to follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 4-8 PM at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street. There will be a Rosary Wednesday evening at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul.
