Janice Budach

June 30, 1930 — August 7, 2014

Janice Skelly Seidensticker Budach, 84 of Zionsville, made her transition from this life into the next on Thursday, August 7, 2014. Janice was born June 30, 1930 in Jackson, MI, one of six children, to the late Delbert and Edith Skelly. She was a graduate of Indiana University and maintained an active membership in her sorority, Chi Omega. She taught kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade before becoming a stay at home mom. She was married to James P. Seidensticker from 1952-1973. Jan worked in the Career Counseling Center at Ft. Harrison for 23 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of Tri Kappa and she enjoyed playing bridge, bowling and her book club. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, August 16 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel, 325 E. Carmel Dr., Carmel, IN where family and friends are invited to gather from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 3:00 PM. Jan is survived by her husband, Richard whom she married in 1985; daughter, Sandy (husband, Dan) Seidensticker Piper; granddaughters, Amber (husband, Brandon) Hicks and Robyn Piper; grandson, Adam Piper; and sister, Aurelia Gaukner.
