Janet Sue Wilson

Janet Sue “Grizzly” Wilson passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2025, at 88 years of age. She was born on July 7, 1937, in Martinsville, Indiana to the late Jessee and Gladys Ruth (Neal) Johnson. Janet served as a Detention Officer for the Sheriff’s Department in Dallas, Texas for numerous years prior to retiring. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, cooking, and spending time with her loving family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Janet has been described as an exceptionally generous person to everyone she encountered.

She is survived by her loving children, Steve (Terri) Wilson, Marsha Ford, Bob (Rose Mary) Wilson, her grandchildren, Kacey (Tom), Kellie (Petree), Eric (Wesley), Kari (Justin), Celise (Sterling), Sonja, and her great grandchildren, Diego, Baylie, Crew, Maverick, Stella, Akaia, Amika, Amiya, Amari, Kalea, Ivory.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:00am-12:00pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Floral Park, 425 North Holt Road Indianapolis, Indiana. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Flanner Buchanan. She will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery privately.
