Janet Lee Brandon

Janet Lee Brandon, 85, of Indianapolis went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2023. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 5, 1937, to her parents, Earl L. Brandon and Myrtle R. (Roudebush) Brandon. Janet was full of life. Her smile was extremely contagious and would brighten anyone’s day. Janet was raised in the church; she was a Charter Member of 75+ years, and the eldest member of University Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to the Indianapolis Zoo and musicals at Beef and Boards. Janet absolutely loved her Indianapolis Colts! She also enjoyed anything Disney—she even got to see Disney on Ice recently. She was a skilled Uno player, beating anyone who was brave enough to challenge her. Janet was an avid movie enthusiast and enjoyed the occasional wordsearch puzzle. Most of all, Janet loved her family and the staff from Insights ViaQuest Community Solutions, both who provided exceptional love and care to her throughout her life. Janet will be missed terribly by all the lives she has touched.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving sister, Judy Brandon Wolven; her nephews, Chris (Renee) Callahan and Craig (Michele) Callahan; and her dedicated caregiver of 10 years, Liz Blann.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 12PM-2PM, with a short service starting at 2PM. All will be held at Flanner Buchanan—Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229. Janet will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
