Janet Carroll

Indianapolis, Indiana – Janet J. Carroll, 90, passed away while being comforted by her family on January 12, 2024. Janet was born in Indianapolis on January 25, 1933, to Chester and Julia (Cristman) Nevers.

Janet worked at Western Electric for over 27 years as a manufacturing and line assembly person. She was immensely proud of this position and the support it gave her family, even after her retirement in 1984.

A loving and generous woman, Janet was the best mom her children could ask for. She loved getting out and traveling or staying at home, planting flowers and listening to music. Spring was her favorite time of year, as she knew her garden would be blooming soon. To relax, she would read, do crossword puzzles, and crochet.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Eugene Carroll and her sister Nadean Bovard.

Janet is survived by her sons, Greg Pedigo (Pamela) and Gary Beasley; grandchildren Amy Tobin (Ryan); and great grandchildren Elijah, Samuel, and Zachary Tobin.

A memorial visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 1 pm – 3 pm. Burial will be private.
