Indianapolis

Jane Anne (Webb) Wimpsett, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 12th, 2026 at the age of 79.

Jane will be remembered for her generous heart, all things fashion, her avid love of music and animals, and her unwavering willingness to help others. She was the kind of person who was always the first to offer a helping hand and never hesitated to be there for those she loved. A few fun facts about her are: She adored skull art and her favorite song being- Roberta Flack’s ‘First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.’

Jane dedicated much of her working life to Blossom Chevrolet, where she served as an Accounts Payable Clerk from 1985 until her retirement in 2018. Following her retirement, she continued giving back to her community by volunteering with Second Helpings.

Above all, Jane was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She treasured her family and took great pride in the people they had become. She is survived by her daughter, Denise (John) Foster; beloved granddaughter, Chandler (Sean) Commons; and her brothers, Scott (Laurel) Webb, David (Evelyn) Webb, and Tracy (Denise) Webb. She will also be lovingly remembered by extended family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Jane’s kindness, compassion, and love will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Donations in Jane’s memory may be made to Indy Humane Society.

Arrangements entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East.
