Jane Rhoads

Jane Cameron Rhoads 65, Indianapolis, passed away March 25, 2011. Jane was a counselor for IPS until 2007. She was a member of Professional Educators, North Eastwood Christian Church and was active in the Christian Mission for the Sightless, which provided Christian materials for the blind. Jane is survived by her surrogate children, Harry and Judy Britton; surrogate grandchildren, Hanna, Austin and Matthew; uncles, Tom and Alvin; aunt, Marilyn; several cousins along with many special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Rhoads and her parents, Lloyd and Olive Cameron. A celebration of Jane’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at North Eastwood Christian Church, 9425 E. 30th St., with visitation from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Washington Park East. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Eastwood Christian Church.
