Jamie Imogene Middleton, 96, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021. She was born on March 31, 1925 in Indianapolis to the late Earl and Gladys (Jones) Everett.
Jamie was an active member of her church. She enjoyed participating in the church choir, and she worked as the church secretary for St. John’s United Church of Christ (Cumberland) for many years. Jamie was also a member of Eastern Star, and she was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and knitting. Jamie also enjoyed socializing with friends and family. She was fond of card parties and traveling to Florida for family vacations. Jamie was also an avid Colts and Pacers fan, and she loved watching Wheel of Fortune.
Jamie is survived by her son, Jim (Teresa) Middleton; granddaughter, Elise (Christopher Heldman) Middleton; 4 additional grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Charles Middleton; her children, Mike German and Sharon Hutchison; brothers, William ‘Bill’ Everett and Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Everett; sister, Lucille Rivers.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 5-7pm at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East. Funeral services will take place Friday morning at 10am, also at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
