James William Falk
May 7, 1951 – February 7, 2022
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Jim Falk announces his Home Going into the Arms of his beloved Savior. Jim was a loving husband, a brother and proud father and grandfather. He will be remembered by his beautiful wife, Sandee, his two children, Larry and LeAnna, and three lively grandchildren: Lila, Reese and Desmond. He is outlived by three sisters: Janet Royston, Carolyn Steere and Joyce Heilman and son to deceased parents, Lawrence and Ophelia Falk.
Jim graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in accounting, but upon graduation, moved into his lifelong calling of disciple making ministry. He started his ministry voyage with The Navigators, where he met and fell in love with the love of his life – Sandee. Together, they embraced the promise of Is49:5,6 and embarked on a beautiful, life-giving journey of making and equipping disciples for Jesus Christ among friends and loved ones, creating a life of richness and depth that invited others into their own adventures with The Lord.
Jim and Sandee moved to Indianapolis in 1989 when Jim took a position as pastor of Faith Missionary Church, which later led to planting Grace Community Church. There, Jim led many hearts in community and beautiful fellowship. He also served many pastors in Indianapolis, bringing them together in prayer and community. He ended his calling of ministry with counseling and serving as an Elder at their church, Common Ground Midtown.
His hobbies included hunting with good friends, reading and deep conversations with anyone willing to pull up a chair.
Jim served God fully, wonderfully, and humbly for over fifty years, living out the Promises of God depending on Him for his strength and being a light to the nations. He fought the good fight and finished the race strong loving others into Kingdom living leaving a legacy that continues to shine as a light to the nations. He will be so incredibly missed by the many who’s lives he touched, and we honor him with a beautiful celebration, details following.
Visitation will be held on Fri 2/18/22 from 4-6pm and Memorial Celebration on Sat 2/19/22 at 10 am both at Common Ground Midtown Church, 4550 N. Illinois Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208.
