James W. Traylor Sr., 81, passed away November 21, 2013 in Texas.
He was born September 28, 1932 in Indianapolis the son of the late Mary E. (Northcutt) and James W. Traylor.
James was a self-employed consultant. He served honorably in the United States Air Force. He was a member of American Legion, Kensington Post, Ambassador Travel Club, Indiana Real Estate Commission, and Clermont and Thatcher Golf Clubs. James played basketball in the Air Force and enjoyed golf and all sports.
James is survived by his wife, Karen J. (Roloff) Traylor; daughters, Wendy J. Traylor and Christine R. Traylor; step-daughter, Lisa Schlesinger; step-son, Robert E. Brown; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his sons, James W. Traylor Jr. and Adam J. Traylor; daughter, Janet K. Smith; brothers, Robert E and Leo J. Traylor and a sister, Loretta Traylor.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flower contributions may be directed to Wishard Burn Unit.
