James W. Knorr

James W. Knorr, 89 Of Indianapolis, IN formerly of Centralia, Illinois, passed away September 17, 2022. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Leonard P. and Hannah (Simmons) Knorr, Sr. James worked as a Correctional Officer in the State of Illinois for many years prior to retiring. He proudly served his country in the U S Army during the Korean War era. James was dearly loved by many and will be truly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Myra Jane Knorr, his son and daughter-in-law, Robert D. (Teresa) Knorr, his grandson, Zakary Knorr and step-grandson and his wife, Joshua P. (Jenny) Haten. Services were held and he was laid to rest with military honors at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia, Illinois. Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township in Indianapolis, Indiana has been honored to serve the Knorr family.
