James V Uberta

James V. Uberta, 97 of Indianapolis passed away on August 21, 2013. He was born June 7, 1916 in Indianapolis, IN. He is a veteran of WWII. He was a 49 year "yellow shirt" at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters, his wives, Helen Pennycuff Uberta and Clara Walsh Uberta. He is survived by his children, Patricia Uberta and Larry (Margaret) Uberta, stepchildren, Cara Wash, Gina Risher, Teresa Lawrence, Philip Walsh and Mark Mowery, grandchildren, Jenny Uberta and Joshua (Renee') Uberta and one great-grandchild, Sofia Uberta. Friends may visit with Jim's family from 2-6 PM Sunday at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Mass will be held at 10 AM Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10th St., Indianapolis. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
