James Robert Pointer

James Robert Pointer 59, Indianapolis, passed away July 14, 2011. He was born February 20, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN. He graduated from John Marshall High School and had an associate degree in Criminal Justice. He worked in security and was a Marion County Deputy Sheriff. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Luke) Reedy; grandchildren, Kyle Ballard, Evan Ballard Cheyenne Reedy and Kiara Reedy; sister, Sandy (Richie) Hicks and two nieces. James was preceded in death by his father, James and Mother, LaVerne Pointer. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St. Visitation will be after 10:00 am on Thursday.
