James R. Jones

James R. Jones Age 82 of Indianapolis passed away Monday, March 19, 2012. Jim enjoyed watching Indy car races, bowling and taking care of his lawn. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Irvington, and Lawrence Sertoma Club. Jim was a Marine Veteran; he worked over 40 years as an Insurance Agent and Financial Planner, retiring in 1995 from New England Life Insurance Company. Jim is survived by his sons, Lawrence C. (Bonny), and Richard A. (Holly) Jones, 5 grandchildren, and brother Dr. Gordon Jones. Visitation will be Friday, March 23, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church of Irvington, 345 N. Kitley Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46219 from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10 am from the church. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Alzheimer's Association, 50 E. 91st Street, STE 100, Indianapolis, IN 46209.
