James "Jim" Ray Pribble

James “Jim” R. Pribble, 94, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on March 28, 2025. He was born on July 20, 1930, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, to parents, Galen and Flossie (Korpf) Pribble.

Jim, Lawrenceburg High School class of ’49, attended Purdue & Butler Universities, and served the U.S. Army in Europe during the Korean War as a Tech Sgt, air frame mechanic. Most of his career was with UPS. Jim was an avid fan of cigars, the Indianapolis Colts (a season ticket holder since their arrival), and of jokes.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Mary (James) Davidsen; granddaughter Emma Davidsen, DVM (Eric Ward), brother-in-law Dr. Jon Jontz, nieces & nephew Susan Cook Zweisler, Jane Jontz (Tom Rosswaag), Kay (Bill) Brown, Jay Jontz, great-nephews and nieces, and beloved pie lady, Ada Courter.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Carolyn (Maloy) Pribble; his parents; brother Paul Pribble, sisters Jean (Tom) Cook, Sue (Jon) Jontz, and Poody..

Jim and his family have endless gratitude to the staff at Allisonville Meadows and to Paradigm Health, particularly to Autumn Rainey, RN.

Jim was buried at Greendale Cemetary. Jim’s Celebration of Life is on June 6, 2025, 1:30 – 4 pm at the White River Yacht Club, 1400 East 74th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46240.

Jim requested no flowers. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Indy Honor Flight at www.indyhonorflight.org, or to the donor’s preferred charity.
