James P. 'Tuck' Mcwhorter

James P. "Tuck" McWhorter 78 of Indianapolis, IN died July 29, 2013. James was born September 14, 1934 in Albany, Kentucky to the late James L. and Lillie Mae (Bell) McWhorter who preceded him in death. He was retired from Lilly Industrial Coatings for 36 years retiring in 1996. He also worked on a part-time basis with Environmental Control Co. He loved his family, especially his grandkids, was a huge Kentucky Wildkats fan, collected eagles, and was very devoted to his church, Center Community Church in Plainfield, IN providing many hours of loving service. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol R. (Wellman) McWhorter, children , James McWhorter, Roy Lee (Linda) McWhorter, Janet Lee (Bob) Prather, Ricky McWhorter, Vickie Seaman, Connie "Cricket" (Gary) Holleton, Raymond (Rhonda) clark, Barbara (Cliff) Sullivan, Annette Dellinger, Wayne (Nancy) McWhorter, Francie Kimberling, Tim Clark, Jamie (Stacey) McWhorter, 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, sister, Lucille Conner, brother-in-law, Richard Wellman, Nursing Assistant, Tina Houston. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Mae Drew McWhorter and Leonard McWhorter. Services will be held10 A. M. on August 1, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan- Decatur, with Rev. Chuck Elston and Rev. Roger Foggin officiating. Visitation will be July 31st 4-9 PM also at the funeral center. He will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery.
