James Marion Linder
74 of Speedway, Indiana, passed away on December 11, 2023. James was born on April 18, 1949, in Harriman, Tennessee to the late Flonnie Peavyhouse Linder and Homer Linder. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Upon getting his start in Indiana, he started out as a mechanic for the Town of Speedway. He then went on to be a graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute, and later was an instructor there for several years. He later moved into sales and training of diagnostic equipment for Allen Test Products. After that he ran his own training center teaching mechanics across the country in automotive diagnostics and held seminars across the country. Following that he started his other business’s, Linder Fuel Injection and Bubbas Vintage Ignition returning to his passion of working on cars. He was a member several car clubs thru his life including the Indy Hi-Winders, Bubbas Hot Rod Shop, Model T Car Club of America, Early Ford V8 Club, and the No Name Car Club. He was preceded in death by sister, Mildred Copley, stepdad, E.T. Stover and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Linder, son, Scott Linder, sister, Betty O’Daniel, grandchildren, Jacob and Elijah Linder and close family friend, Heidi Linder. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 1 pm to 3 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park.
