James L. Thompson

James L. (Jimmy) Thompson, 71 of Indianapolis, IN went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 25, 2011. He preached the Word for 52 years and was a friend of God. His wife stated, "We were one soul dwelling in two bodies." He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Shannon, children to whom he was such a wonderful father to, Terri Ann (Bobby K.) Melton, Tammi Gayle (James "Ray") Harris, grandchildren, Mark Anthony Holt, Jacob Lee Harris, Andrea Marie Holt, Amanda Ryana Harris and his faithful companion, Magic "S'midget". Services will be held 11 AM, Saturday October 29, 2011 at the West Newton Church of Christ 7704 S. Mooresville Road Indianapolis, IN 46221 with visitation there on Friday October 28th 3-8 PM and Saturday one hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, IN. Memorial gifts may be made to the West Newton Church of Christ.
