James Joey Ison-Scaggs

James Joey Ison-Scaggs, 48 of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday June 4, 2021. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on July 4, 1972 to James Robert Ison and Ralynn L. Scaggs. James worked for many years as a painter and forklift operator. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his son, James. He was an avid sports fan, but loved the Colts most of all. James enjoyed being outside, working in his yard, and washing cars. James loved all kinds of music, and could often be found at home listening to country or old school hip-hop as loud as he could.

James is survived by his son, James (Kay) Scaggs; mother, Ralynn Scaggs; sisters,  Dottie (Lamont) Glover and Melissa (Ronald) Wright; granddaughters, Harper Grace, and Hazel Mae; nieces and nephews, Brittany Glover, Ashley Wright, Lamont (Sally) Glover, Brooke Glover, Erika (Jared) Storm and Joshua Glover; great nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; cousins and many loving friends. He is preceded in passing by his father, James Robert Ison.
