James E. "Jim" Thompson
75 of Mooresville, Indiana went peacefully to be with The Lord on August 28, 2013 after a short battle with cancer. He was a Tool and Die Maker in Skilled Trades with Rolls Royce North America formerly General Motors for the past 51 Years working in Dept. # 1530 in the Tool Room. He was a member of UAW Local #933. Jim served in the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy (Shrum) Thompson, daughter, Cheri (Bob) Reno, grandsons, Ryan, Dylan, and Derek Reno, brothers, Dale (Pat), Terry (Anita) Thompson, sister, Donna (Tim) Morris, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Barry Thompson, parents, Burt and Emily Thompson and his sister, Diana Hicks-McQuilling. Services will be held Wednesday September 4, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan- Decatur with visitation there on Tuesday September 3rd, 2-8 PM. He will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery.
