January 26, 1925 — March 4, 2016

James “Jim” Robert Allison

91, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 4, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
Jim was a proud WW II veteran serving as a Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class in the United States Navy. He then went on to service his country as a civilian at Fort Benjamin Harrison.
Jim was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Papaw, Great-Grandfather, Uncle and Brother. His greatest joy was his family, especially his Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren and their friends. He was known as G-Pa to many. He attended and sometimes coached his Grandchildren’s sports games, for which he won many awards.
Jim always enjoyed making people smile, especially children. He was deeply loved by his family so much so that he was best man at his oldest Grandson’s wedding. He touched so many lives, there are no words that can express how much he will be missed.
