James "Jim" A. LaBelle

James "Jim" A. LaBelle, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 13, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 79. Born on August 9, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, Jim lived a life rich with love, family, hard work, and innovation.

Jim dedicated over 25 years as an executive of GTE and retired as President of GTE Mobilnet. After retirement, he spent more than 20 years as the owner of Leadtrack Software. His unwavering commitment and passion for his work left a lasting impact on all those around him. He was known not only for his professional accomplishments but also for the selfless values with which he dealt with the world.

An alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Jim's educational journey laid the foundation for a life devoted to hard work and a commitment to family. He shared a deep and enduring love with his beautiful wife, Kathleen LaBelle. Their marriage, spanning 58 wonderful years, was a testament to a bond formed during their college days, a love story that continued to flourish throughout their lives and would result in three children, nine grandchildren, and a home perpetually filled with love.

Jim’s family was everything to him. He was particularly proud of his children: Beth (Jeff) Osborne, Tim (Lori) LaBelle, Amy (Mike) Wilson and his nine grandchildren: Parker, Mackenzie, Logan, Payton, Luke, Benjamin, Keagan, Brennan and Kellan. He was a loving son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his sister, Barb Dobrowski, and brother, Bob LaBelle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Betty LaBelle, and his sister, Judy Marshall. Jim’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

A visitation will be held on May 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan- Geist, located at 7855 Cork Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46236. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Jim's life and share in the love he so generously gave.
