James J. 'Jim' Clements

November 20, 1940 — March 26, 2011

James J. “Jim” Clements Jim was born November 20, 1940 in Indianapolis to Otto G. and Helen M. (Kessler) Clements. He lost his battle with lung cancer on March 26, 2011. Growing up in Indianapolis, he was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. Jim most recently was a sales consultant at Restaurant Solutions, Midwest Restaurant Equipment and Tipton Restaurant Equipment. Prior to sales, Jim was managerially involved with Papa Joe’s Italian Restaurant, M.B.P. Catering, Claude & Annie’s and Kelly’s Pub Too. With a strong work ethic he continued working until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Joanne Whisenhant, Patty Hahn and Charlene Underwood. Surviving are; daughters, Lisa Arnold (Kenny Mitchell), Julie (Rob) Banayote, Toni (Bret) Mattingly; sister, Betty Evans and former wife, Gloria Gnip. He was grandfather to, Mike Arnold, Amy (Oliver) Younge, George and Zack Jernigan, Anthony Banayote and Bret, Mark and Hannah Mattingly. Services will be held at 6PM on Wednesday March 30, 2011 in Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Speedway. With visitation from 3PM until service. He will be forever missed by many other family members and friends. Jim’s daughters would like to thank Dr. Nassar Hanna and the wonderful staff at I.U. Cancer Center for their professional and compassionate care of their dad. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to I.U.
