68 of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on June 5, 2026. James was born on April 29, 1958 in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late Leon and Ethyl Hunt. He was a retired paper cutter. He was a member of Harvest Time Church. He was preceded in death by his siblings Lewis Richard Jacoby, Myrtle Smith, David Leon Hunt and Leonard Charles Hunt and his parents. He is survived by his daughter Mary Jo Fite, brother Joseph Paul Hunt, Sr. and sister Frances Hunt. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 11 am to 1 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
