James Hitchcock, 94, Indianapolis, passed away on March 23, 2013. He was born December 23, 1918, in Bartholomew County, the son of the late Alvin and Pearl (Conway) Hitchcock.
James was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and worked for International Harvester, for 42 years. He was a member of Post Road Christian Church. James enjoyed many years of travel with his wife across the U.S., and international destinations, now cherished memories.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lillian; son, Marvin (Donna); daughter, Diane; two grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Post Road Christian Church, 1112 North Post Road. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple.
