James Henry 'Jim' Edwards

James H. "Jim" Edwards 91, Indianapolis, passed away on September 22, 2012. Jim was born on June 15, 1921 in Edinburgh, IN to the late, William and Cleo Edwards. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. Jim was a self-employed contractor. He was a member of the Murat Shrine, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and the Victorious Life Church of the Nazarene. Jim enjoyed geology, teaching, traveling and was a curious person by nature, always looking for an answer. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Betty Edwards; children, Bill (wife, Paula) Jones, Teresa (husband, Rev. Rudy) Lee and Bruce (wife, Lorna) Jones; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; nephews, Thomas and Michael Edwards. Services for Jim will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Burial will be in Buck Creek Christian Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
