James H. Bowman

James Harold Bowman, 91, Indianapolis, passed away August 23, 2015 at Marquette Manor in Indianapolis. Mr. Bowman was born in Crawfordsville, IN on January 6, 1924 to Walter O. and Bettie L. Bowman. James served in the Army Air Corps in World War II, before going on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Rose Poly (Rose Hulman). He spent many years working for Indiana Bell as an engineer, before retiring in 1982. He was an avid golfer and bowler. Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Doris (Cantrell) Bowman and his parents. Survivors include sons, Kyle and Gregg (Kathy), and two granddaughters Hadley (Jackson) Settlemire, and Jessica (fiancé Matt Williams) Bowman.
