James H. Allen

James H. "Jim" Allen 60 of Carmel, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013. Jim was born October 28, 1952 in Pontiac, Illinois to Eugene M. and the late Marilyn Allen. He was a graduate of Illinois State University. Jim was in Executive Management for Simon Property Group for the past 19 years, where he built the largest specialty retail program in the industry. He received the Life-time Achievement Award from Specialty Retail Magazine. A service celebrating Jim's life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, February 1 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel, where family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to the service. Jim is survived by his wife, Jill; children, Brett J. (wife, Arielle Kuperberg) Allen and Julie A. (fiancé, Michael Hoffmann) Allen; father, two brothers and two sisters.
