  Frank (James Franklin) Williams,Jr, 90 years old, passed away on April 11,2020 due to Corona virus. He was born on May 16, 1929 in Lexington, Kentucky to Layrue (Crowe)Williams and James Franklin Williams Sr. Frank graduated from Lafayette High School in Lexington and was on the golf team. He attended the University of Kentucky and served in the army from 1951 to 1953, stationed in Massachusetts and Texas. Frank worked at Union Carbide (now Praxair) for 40 years, retiring in 1993 as a Senior Project Specialist. While working he traveled to several states and countries to help solve a problem or design equipment. He has been a member of Wesley United Methodist Church for 60 years and was active working with the sound system and was also a trustee. On Monday mornings he and his friends would work at church doing repairs and odd jobs which was followed by lunch. Tuesday morning was breakfast with his golf buddies followed by a game of golf. He had three holes in one and also taught his grandsons the game of golf. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Susie (Susann Lyons) Williams, daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Jeff Marlott of Speedway, three grandchildren that he treasured, Jeremy (Rachel) Blackwood of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, Katherine Marlott (Friend Matt Lykins), of West Chester, Ohio, Jon Marlott (fiancée Michelle Seuss) of Mt. Ulla, N.C., and a wonderful great granddaughter Elena Blackwood. He is also survived by many special nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kathy Jean Williams, great granddaughter Tamsyn Christine Blackwood, five sisters and a brother. Services will be Saturday June 13 at Flanner and Buchanan In Speedway. Calling is from 9-11 am with services at 11 am.
