James Edward Evans

James Edward Evans 94 of Indianapolis, IN passed away March 12, 2022. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 26, 1927, to the late Audrey and Lydia (Cox) Evans. James was a Crane Operator for General Motors Truck and Bus plant for 30 years before retiring. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. James was a member of the UAW Local # 23, the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge, Order of Eastern Star Chapter for many years and enjoyed bowling and fishing. He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. James is survived by his daughter, Debra (Mike) Allen, grandchildren, Brian Cooper, Christine Kennedy and great grandson, Zachary Kennedy. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Margaret Evans, and his son, Larry Evans. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 2:00pm at Floral Park Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.
