James E. Bowman

James E. Bowman, 75, died peacefully on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at his home.  He was a lifetime resident of Indianapolis born on December 11, 1942. He will be deeply missed by his wife and high school sweetheart, Marcia, children Christine Edmondson (Chris) and Jim Bowman (Christa); granddaughter, Megan Bowman; and grandsons, Blaine Bowman, Christopher and Jonathan Edmondson. James graduated Secina High School and worked in construction as a lather, business owner, and project manager. His intellect and curiosity drove his interest in collecting coins, stamps, and Nascar memorabilia. Later in life, he enjoyed traveling with his church to Texiquat, Honduras and was a regular helper with the Holy Spirit Mercy Meal ministry. Visitation will be held, from 4:00 - 7:00pm on Tuesday April 10, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. A funeral mass will follow at 10:00am the following day. The family is asking in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Holy Spirit Twinning Ministry Fund.
