James Anthony 'Tony' Cook

November 30, 1956 — December 3, 2012

James Anthony (Tony) Cook 56, born November 30, 1956 in Indianapolis to Oren Lester and Mary Etta Cook. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Wallace Dale Cook and a siser, Barbara Jean Cook Sanders. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Mona, sister Janice Faye Cook, daughters, Crystal Marie, Lisa Coffman, Karla Aikman and Marla Simpson as well as 8 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was a very loving father and grandfather. Growing up on the Near Eastside, Tony attended Tech High School and Howe High School and was currently working on a Business Degree. He served in the military until 1989. He loved to give and supported his church, Covenant House and helped people go to Israel, just to name a few of his favorite avenues of giving. He also enjoyed traveling, walking and earlier in his life was an avid runner. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m..on Saturday, December 8, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 3:00p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Donations may be made in Tony's name to Covenant House, 5825 Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN 46228 or www.covenanthouse.org.
