Jamaal Nigel Jones

Aug 30, 1976 — Sep 26, 2026

Indianapolis

Jamaal Nigel Jones peacefully transitioned into the spiritual blessings and culmination of his relationship with God and loved ones, on Saturday, September 26, 2026. He was born on August 30, 1976, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to his devoted, loving, and proud parents, Mary Jane Jones and the late Charles Edward Jones.

Jamaal’s spiritual journey began with his baptism at Witherspoon Presbyterian Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Landrum Shields. His baptism marked the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith, as he continued to profess his belief in God throughout his life.

A lifelong learner, Jamaal pursued both academic and personal growth through private and public schools in Indianapolis. His educational journey also took him to Greensboro, North Carolina, where he attended North Carolina A&T State University.

Jamaal was a man of many interests and talents. During his childhood, he participated in numerous extracurricular activities, including baseball, football, basketball, Boy Scouts, and golf. As he grew older, his interests expanded to playing cards, chess, camping, cooking, and vacationing. Above all, he treasured spending quality time with family and friends, creating memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Jamaal was observant, analytical, articulate, and a man who stood firmly by his word. Those who knew him could almost hear him say, “Listen to me and listen to me good.” He had a remarkable eye for detail, a natural ability to solve problems, and a gift for breaking down complex ideas into clear, thoughtful solutions. He possessed an uncanny ability to read people and understand their intentions before they ever had the chance to explain themselves. These qualities, combined with his sharp mind and strong numerical aptitude, contributed to his financial savvy and business acumen. Jamaal took great pride in managing money and conducting business with efficiency, strategy, and foresight, while ensuring he had plenty left to enjoy the finer things in life.

Jamaal began his entrepreneurial journey as a young adult, working in the family-owned business, Stop The Cycle Now, Inc. Through hard work, determination, and a natural understanding of business, he laid the foundation for a future of independence and success. He eventually returned to Indiana to pursue his own business ventures and established himself as a successful, self-made entrepreneur. Along the way, he carried himself with warmth, kindness, and a quiet strength that left a lasting impression on those around him. He had a special way of making people feel comfortable, valued, and cared for.

Jamaal’s life was a testament to perseverance, wisdom, and the importance of leading by example. His strength, lessons, and leadership enriched the lives of many, often in ways that may only now be fully understood and appreciated.

There is something especially fitting about Jamaal’s passing beneath the brilliance of the harvest moon, a symbol of fullness, completion, and the culmination of a season’s labor. As the sky shines brightly and the earth celebrates the abundance of the harvest, we are reminded that although Jamaal’s earthly journey ended at the age of fifty, the harvest of his life remains. He has finished sowing his seeds, but the fruits of his labor will continue to flourish in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. Though his time on earth was finite and his physical presence will be deeply missed, his spirit, the love he shared, and the legacy he leaves behind will endure through the lives he touched. His life’s harvest will continue to bear fruit for generations to come.

Jamaal was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Jones, and his sister, Dr. Monique Marie Jones. He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving mother, Mary Jane Jones; his three children, daughters Allison Hayes Jones and Samantha Iam Jones, and son Micheal Anthony Jones; his significant and devoted partner, Shealyn Campbell; and a host of cherished relatives and dear friends.

Jamaal’s journey on earth has ended, but the impact of his life will never fade. May his memory remain a blessing, his lessons continue to guide those he loved, and his legacy lives on in every life he touched.
