Jacqueline Sheryl "Jackie" Robinson Colbert Died April 21, 2012 at home with her family at her side. She was born on Nov. 30, 1937 in rural Boone County at home to Lloyd W. and Hilda A. Robinson. Jacqueline attended the Quaker Church of Sheridan, IN until leaving Sheridan. She married Charles E. Colbert of Westfield, IN on Aug. 23, 1954 and was a class of 1955 graduate of Sheridan High School. The couple lived in California for 4 years while Charles served his country in the Marine Corps. Jacqueline participated in the Miss Universe Contest in the 1950's, belonged to the Eastern Star was a Girl Scout Leader in the early 1960's and was active with the Avon Little League for eight years during 1960-1970. She worked at Eli Lilly and Co. from 1965 to 1993 She was a lung cancer survivor. Surviving are her; husband of 58 years Charles E.. Colbert; daughter Pamela A. Colbert McCracken of Plainfield, IN; son Michael G. Colbert and his wife Karen of Highland, Il; grandchildren Michael D. Colbert of St. Petersburg, FL, Daniel E. McCracken of Shawnee, KS, Jason P. McCracken of Gardner, KS., Nicole E. Wilkerson and husband Cody of Lynn Wood WA., Courtney M. Colbert of Gulfport, MS and Justin C. Colbert, who is in the United States Navy at Goose Creek, SC Funeral services will be at 1pm on April 24, 2012 in Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North, with visitation from 11 am. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Little Red Door or Riley Children's Foundation.
