Jacqueline C. "Jackie" Michener

Jacqueline C. Michener, age 73 of Danville, Indiana passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, July 1, 2023, at her residence.

“Jackie”, as she was commonly known, was born on October 3, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of her father Jack Powers and her mother Beatrice Caroll (Lantry) Powers.

Jackie has been described as caring, sweet and a faithful friend.  She will be remembered for always putting everyone else’s needs and wants before her own.  She was generally known, for many years, for selling Avon and was known by many as “Jackie, the Avon lady.”  She loved to shop and was constantly on the go doing one activity or another.  Jackie loved the color purple, and her favorite flower was roses.

Jackie is survived by one son: Clayton (Kim Smith) Harris of Indianapolis, Indiana; three grandchildren: Kylie Harris, Kaleb Harris, and Joshua Harris; and twin great grandsons: Maverick and Jackson Harris.

She is preceded in death by one grandson: Jasper Harris and one brother: Edward Powers.

Arrangements are being handled privately with Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East.
