Jack Martin Williams was born in Barkeyville, Pennsylvania on October 20, 1925, to Grace and Carl Martin Williams. After serving as an Army medic in World War II, he attended Asbury College and Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky and was ordained in the [United] Methodist Church.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Lois Evans Williams, his daughter, Deborah Williams, and 3 grandsons: Vince, Martin, and Andrew Goodlett. He was the only boy in the midst of five sisters, only one of which is surviving, Lois (Midge) Gilfillan.
There was a brief graveside service for family and close friends on Wednesday, August 1, and a memorial service will be held later at Stockwell United Methodist Church, where he served as minister from 1966 to his retirement in 1990.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Abundant Harvest United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.
