Jack P. Quartuccio

January 1, 1955 — May 9, 2026

Westfield, IN

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Quartuccio, 71, of Westfield, Indiana on May 9, 2026. Jack was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend to all who knew him.

Giaochino Paul Quartuccio, better known as “Jack”, was born on January 1, 1955 to James and Norene (Schmich) Quartuccio in LaPorte, Indiana. The eldest of 6 children, he became a natural leader and caretaker. As a teenager, Jack developed a love of photography and was a freelance photographer for the LaPorte Herald Argus, turning his parents’ basement into a dark room to develop his own photos. This same curiosity, creativity, and can-do attitude carried on throughout his entire life, and was an incredible gift he passed on to all of his children.

A proud graduate of LaPorte High School, Jack married his high school sweetheart, Linda Goff, in 1976. Jack and Linda spent 50 loving years together, and were truly each other’s best friends. They welcomed three daughters: Jessica in 1976, Kelly in 1979, and Laura in 1984. Jack and Linda’s daughters were the focus of their lives, and they raised them in a home full of love, laughter, and lots of Jack’s wonderful Italian cooking.

In 1988, Jack and Linda purchased his childhood home, which was built in 1890. Through persistence and hard work, he became proficient at home maintenance and repair, which allowed his family to continue to enjoy their home for many years to come. At work, Jack was working his way up the ladder from the factory floor to an engineer in automotive manufacturing, making steering wheels and airbags. Over time, he became an expert in polyurethane molding. He traveled all over the world, visiting manufacturing plants to help them solve problems and make improvements, and always making friends along the way.

Jack’s career took the family to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1997, and then to Lake Orion, Michigan in 2009. During this time, Jack and Linda welcomed 3 new sons-in-law and 6 beloved grandchildren. In Michigan, they lived near one of their daughters and her family, and were always available for babysitting and spoiling their grandchildren. They also suffered the devastating loss of their eldest granddaughter, Sofia Komp in 2014. Jack was diagnosed with adrenal cancer in 2017 and began treatment, but remained in good health, still very physically active, never sitting still.

After retirement, Jack and Linda settled in Westfield, Indiana. They built a beautiful home near two of their daughters and their families, so the spoiling of grandchildren could continue. In retirement, Jack enjoyed spending time with family, working in his yard and on DIY home projects, driving his Corvette, cooking delicious food, and doting on his beloved pup, Cubby.

Jack was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2025. By sheer strength and grit, Jack frequently surpassed medical staff’s expectations. Throughout his illness, his sense of humor remained intact, always making family and medical staff chuckle with his dry, witty remarks, even while dealing with a remarkable amount of pain.

Jack passed away peacefully at home on May 9, 2026, surrounded by his wife and daughters.

As a son, brother, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, friend, and neighbor, he is loved and missed by so many.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Goff) Quartuccio, his children, Jessica (Brody) Komp, Kelly (Paul) Lillig, and Laura (Trevor) Carlson, his grandchildren, Lila and Sam Komp, Lucy and Paul Lillig and Sloan Carlson, his mother, Norene Quartuccio, and his siblings, Cathleen (Tony DiOrio) Quartuccio, Jane Quartuccio, Michael Quartuccio and Amy (Joseph) Zook. He is preceded in death by his father, James Quartuccio, his brother, Joel Quartuccio, and his precious granddaughter, Sofia Komp.

Visitation in Jack’s honor will be held from 11am -1pm on May 18th, 2026 at Flanner Buchanan Hamilton Memorial Park – Prairie Waters (4180 Westfield Rd. Westfield, IN 46060). A Funeral Service will be held directly following at 1pm, Monday, May 18, 2026. Burial will follow services at Flanner Buchanan Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery.
