Jack Lee Rhine, 88, was called to his eternal reward on Dec. 23, 2017. He was born in Indianapolis on May 28, 1929, to Delores (Crist) and Harold Rhine.
Jack was a loving Christian father and dedicated and loving husband. He worked in sales for 32 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He married Shirley Jean Nickel on Dec. 18, 1955, in Indianapolis. She survives. Other survivors include one sister, Linda Inman (husband Jim) of Plainfield; three sons, Michael (wife Melissa) of Atlanta, Ga.; Paul (wife Christine) of Muncie; and Carl (wife Grace) of Indianapolis; six grandchildren, Marlon, Melody, Laura, Jacob, Andrew, and Veronica, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Margie Aman; and one brother, Fred.
Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, at Wesley United Methodist Church where Jack was a long-time member and trustee. A memorial service will follow at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the church are welcome.
