It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jack E. Johnsonbaugh, Sun City Center, Florida formerly Fishers, Indiana, passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 98.

Born on September 27, 1927, in Muncie, Indiana. Jack was the beloved son of Ralph W. Johnsonbaugh and Zora Mae Saunders. He was known for his generosity, sense of humor, and the love he gave to his family.

Jack graduated in 1945 from Royerton High School, Royerton, Indiana. Soon after was drafted into the Armed Services. In 1947, Jack began working for Indiana Bell Telephone and retired from there in 1990. He enjoyed all sports but especially passionate about Baseball and Golf. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived his daughter, Nancy Barrett, Grandsons, Jason Barrett and Jonathan Sowers, Great-Grandchildren, Aidan Zaso-Barrett, Ryleigh Barrett, Brayden Schulz, Phillip Sowers, and Lillian Marone. Nieces Lisa Hottinger, Cathy True Nyberg. Nephews Steve Johnsonbaugh, Joel Johnsonbaugh, Bob Johnsonbaugh. Significant Other, Betty Reeves. 

He is preceded in death by First Wife Donna Johnsonbaugh, 2nd Wife Maurine Smith, Daughter Dawn Sowers, Son-In-Law Cecil Barrett, Joe Sowers. Brothers William Johnsonbaugh and Harold Johnsonbaugh. Parents Ralph and Zora Johnsonbaugh.

A memorial service will be held on July 25th at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Public Visitation 12:00-1:00PM, Service 1:00-2:00PM, Entombment 2:00-2:30PM.

Jack will be remembered for his love, wisdom, and the lasting impact he had on those around him. Though he will be deeply missed his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
