Jack Harold Cooning

Jack Harold Cooning, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away June 1, 2012. Jack was retired from Buyers Paper and Specialty. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Survivors include his children, Sherry(Ken) Persinger, Kim Cooning, Sr., Chris(Mary) Cooning and Maria(Andy) Harrison; 6 grandchildren: Jon(Evelyn) Persinger, Beth(George) Van Meter, Patricia Cooning, Kim Cooning, Jr., Megan Harrison and Zachary Harrison; 3 great grandchildren, Sam Persinger, Isabella Persinger, and Grant Van Meter; brother, James Cooning, and sister, Joan Lewis. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mitzi and brother, Leon J. Cooning, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10th Street. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday morning at the church from 9:30 AM until time of Mass. Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
