Jack worked on the railroad in his younger days and owned Jack Henthorn Realty and Insurance in Indianapolis. He was proud of the successful company he started and retired from. Jack was a very funny man and had the heart of gold. He loved family vacations and not only took his children but the children of others too. He was often referred to as “Cactus Jack”.

Jack loved his family, animals of all sizes including his cowbirds that only his grandchildren understood. He was a devout Catholic that never missed a prayer before starting his car and who made the sign of the cross before opening the front door of his home to go somewhere.

He attended Mass every day until entering a nursing home due to dementia. His faith and devotion to God was such an inspiration to his family and friends. Everyone that came into contact with him, loved him immediately including his grandchildren’s friends.

A graveside service will be held Monday, August 8 at 11:00AM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229.
