Jack Frayman

Jack Conrad Frayman, 78, of Zionsville, IN died December 7, 2011. He was born in Mishawaka, IN to the late Henry Conrad and Veronica Frances (Skvarek) Frayman on October 29, 1933. Jack was a graduate of Mishawaka High School. He graduated from Butler University, where he received both tennis and basketball scholarships and played for Tony Hinkle. Jack was a veteran of the U. S. Army, where he worked in Army Intelligence. Jack married Margaret Ann Davis on December 21, 1957. Jack was a Vice-president of Indiana National Bank, retiring in 1996. Jack was active in his community, and involved in his children's activities. He helped run the concession stand for Little League, served on its Board of Directors, and as treasurer. He helped coach a Major League All-Star Team for Little League. Jack served as treasurer and was the first president of the Zionsville Booster Club. He was a member of the Library Board, was a timer and driver for Azionaqua swim meets, and helped with 7th and 8th grade football, golf, and track teams. He drove for the summer basketball program, and was head coach of several basketball teams at First Baptist Church. Jack was a great fan of Butler basketball and Notre Dame football. He supported the Fighting Irish as a season ticket holder for 52 years. Jack was a member of the Pike Lion's Club, and attended New Hope Christian Church. He loved spending time with his family, and following the activities of his five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Maggie; children Laura Jean Hardin (Mike), Kenneth Conrad Frayman, and Jeffrey Davis Frayman (Jenny); grandchildren Matt (and wife Amanda), Carly, Heather, Mackenzie, and Samantha; and great-grandchildren Dakota and Madison. He is also survived by his brother Bruce Frayman, and nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his daughter Barbara Jean, who died at birth. Calling will be Monday, December 12, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Zionsville, 105 West Pine. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at New Hope Christian Church, 5780 S County Road 650 East, Whitestown, just north of SR334 in Anson. Burial will follow at Zionsville Cemetery.
